TimesLIVE

TimesLIVE – South Africa's second-biggest news website, published by Arena Holdings (formerly Tiso Blackstar Group) – is the home of the group's Sunday Times newspaper and daily digital newsroom, providing breaking news, analysis, sport, entertainment and lifestyle seven days a week. Launched in September 2009, it is edited by Lebo Nthongoa, Makhudu Sefara and Fienie Grobler, and our editor-in-chief is Sthembiso Msomi.

Our website has a responsive design, making it easy to read on mobile devices. We offer quality reporting throughout the day, breaking the news with stories, email newsletters, and multimedia.

All TimesLIVE content is free to read, except for most articles on the Sunday Times website housed within TimesLIVE, which is reserved for subscribers. These include Sunday Times Daily articles published on weekdays.

Readers who register on the TimesLIVE or Sunday Times website – it's quick and free – can comment on selected articles and subscribe to a range of email newsletters.

Readers who subscribe to the Sunday Times have access to all premium Sunday Times and Sunday Times Daily content online, which includes in-depth investigative reporting, news, analysis and SA's best columnists, as well as lifestyle, sport and entertainment. There are several subscription packages to choose from, including a day pass for 24 hours' access.

The TimesLIVE app (which includes the Sunday Times) is available on the Google Play store, the Huawei AppGallery and Apple's App Store.

Sunday Times

The Sunday Times is South Africa's biggest Sunday newspaper. It is distributed all over South Africa and in neighbouring countries such as Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland.

First published on February 4 1906, the Paper for the People has become an institution in South Africa and an essential weekend read throughout the country. It has earned a reputation for producing hard-hitting, relevant, independent, well-written and authoritative news, particularly on the political front.

Known for its in-depth investigative journalism, the Sunday Times covers all major national and international news, and publishes influential columnists, analysis, lifestyle content, sport and entertainment. Based in Parktown, Johannesburg, it is edited by Sthembiso Msomi and published by Arena Holdings.

Sunday Times Daily

The daily print edition of The Times closed in December 2017. Now readers can find the same news, opinion, analysis and commentary from leading writers in a digital daily edition called Sunday Times Daily (formerly known as Times Select).

This edition, edited by Fienie Grobler and published once a day, brings together expertly curated news, premium journalism and opinion on its website in one compact package. It complements the free news published on TimesLIVE all day and the weekend news from the Sunday Times.

The Sunday Times Daily app is available on the Google Play store, the Huawei AppGallery and Apple's App Store.

Sunday Times subscribers have full access to Sunday Times Daily too.
