Freelance work has always been uncertain, but the pandemic has made it even more so.

Psychologist and executive coach Alan Ahlfeldt, who was part of a Southern African Freelancers’ Association workshop, says: “The vulnerability we feel as freelancers is huge as we have people who depend on us. This leads to people putting undue pressure on themselves and they are harsher on themselves than others would be." ..
